Blue Bloods follows the lives of the NYPD's First Family of Law Enforcement: the Reagans. Frank, the Police Comissioner and son of former PC Henry Reagan, must balance his duties of running the largest police force in the world and being his kids' boss. His daughter Erin is an Assistant District Attorney, son Danny is a senior detective and fellow Marine Veteran, and new Harvard Law grad turned cop, Jamie all swirl through this family drama and passionately defend their city from harm. The Irish-American family is deeply rooted in their patriotism, passion, and love of family.

    When Jaime goes to meet Anderson, he comes across what he thinks is a crime. When he approaches them, they start shooting at him and shoots back. In the end someone is killed. Danny shows up and tries to find out what happened but no one is willing to talk. Eventually they learn that a Chinese woman is being sought by the Triad.
  • 9. Re-Do
    Three major offenders are released due to forensic failures in the understaffed police lab. Among them is serial rapist-killer Dick Reed, who enjoys a fan club and seems to bode revenge on the Reegans who got him arrested. After his MO is used again, the evidence doesn't point to him. Only Jamie maintains total objectivity, while wondering about FBI Agent Anderson.

    King, the star bouncer of New York's hottest night club, is shot shortly after denying Wall Street youngster tycoon Lemon entry. Danny braves his wife's jealousy to investigate to foxy owner Sabrina's potential motive, only to find it was a ricochet, so King wasn't the target. Jamie is puzzled by another meeting he presumes intended to recruit him for the Blue Templar case and finds his father supportive after telling the job cost him his fiancée. Chief Frank finds old friend Jimmy Burke's candidacy for a career end promotion goes utterly wrong.

    The discovery of a knave's corpse, walled in a building near his home for 20 years, inspires Frank, who couldn't solve the disappearance case then, to use all his present means, taking charge in person once more, at the expense of more political priorities. Jamie meets haughty forensic expert Sonny Malevsky, who also worked with and on the case of his late brother. Danny handles the case of a murdered luxury call girl with at least one ‘too exclusive’ client.

    When the son of a Russian gangster is killed at his own engagement party, Danny delves into the world of the Russian mob and the family politics that exist. Meanwhile, Erin is thrown into a high-profile corruption case.

    When an undercover counter-terrorism agent is shot, Frank assigns Danny to the case because he is the only officer he can trust given the victim's involvement with infiltrating a sleeper cell; however, Danny is sworn to secrecy as to not disrupt the police activity in that cell.

    While investigating the murder of a homeless man, Danny takes a special interest in the case because the man is a decorated Marine. Eventually he learns that three wealthy men were the ones who killed him. While he gets one of them to admit to what happened. The other is protecting the other one who was the one who had no remorse about killing him. When the man is released due to lack of evidence, Danny places his career on the line to get him. And Frank learns that someone leaked to the press he is considering running for Mayor which he is not.

    Danny witnesses a murder. He identifies the man and learns that he is the leader of a deadly gang. When the man is arrested he warns Danny the risks of testifying against him, Danny ignores him. But when Linda who's suppose take into protective custody is taken by gang, Danny tries to find her before he has to testify.

    A man who is a confidential informant working for Erin is killed. So she has Danny investigate to find out if he was killed because it was discovered he's an informant and if so how? And when a video that shows a police officer beating up someone comes out, Frank looks into it. First he talks to the officer who says that video was edited to make it appear he was rough on the man. He then learns that the source of the video is man who has it in for the NYPD and tries to get him to give the actual video.

    Danny and Jackie investigate a murder scene at a diner, where a witness claims a uniformed officer fled the scene after shots were fired.
  • 12. The Job
    On the way home with his family, Danny hits a man with his car who is fleeing from a gunman, and his family gets caught in the crossfire when Danny fires his weapon at the gunman. Frank deals with 9/11 guilt from impending loss of a friend whom he worked alongside at Ground Zero.
  • 13. Leap of Faith
    When a rich woman dies of a heart attack, her eccentric daughter claims that she received a message from God, who told her that her stepfather actually murdered her. Meanwhile, the archbishop wants Frank's support for the canonization of a local priest, but a reluctant Frank takes it upon himself to investigate a rumor that the priest went too far when protesting the Vietnam War.

    When a man's family is robbed and beaten in front of him, and the assailant is shot and killed, the Reagan's debate about how far they would go to protect their family. Meanwhile, when a college student is arrested at a rally, Frank wrestles with her sentence due to her identity.

    When a Reagan family friend, an undercover detective, is killed, Linda and the boys worry about Danny, as his relentless search for the killer takes a toll on his emotional state.

    Frank finds himself working with the Mayor and Reverend Potter from a previous episode, in a program to buy guns which may have been used in a crime but will not be used against them. But when a gun which was believed to have been used in a robbery wherein someone got shot, is turned in the officer who got it takes a photo of the one who turned it in and gives it to Danny.     Jamie rescues a child in burning building. The press are asking for the identity of the one who saved the child but because Jamie is still doing his undercover work, Frank tries to find a way for Jamie's identity not to be revealed. A boy whom Danny knows asks him to look into his father's death which was ruled a suicide. And Danny discovers a lot on inconsistencies.
  • 20. Working Girls
    Erin is prosecuting a murderous criminal. When her key witness breaks down when he was suppose to testify, Erin calms him down and schedules him to testify the following day, but he is killed, which means her whole case is dead. She speaks to someone who was there who claims to know nothing but Erin gets her to admit what she knows so she puts her in protective custody and Danny and Jackie are among the cops assigned to protect her.     It's Mother's Day. Frank learns of a possible attack using a biological weapon. The mayor wants to tell the people but Frank who doesn't want to alarm the people, wants to wait and see if it can be handled. Danny asks patrolmen to look out for a man he is looking for. Jimmy finds him and says it's his collar but Danny says it's his, which makes things tense between them.

    When a famous movie star, Russell Berke, who shadowed Danny for research on his next role, is stabbed, Danny goes to his aid, but must keep the crime on the down-low due to Russell's celebrity status.
