Two FBI agents, Fox Mulder the believer and Dana Scully the skeptic, investigate the strange and unexplained while hidden forces work to impede their efforts.

  • 1. Pilot
    Special Agent Dana Scully is partnered with Special Agent Fox Mulder to validate his work on a special project called the X-Files. While he is a believer in the paranormal fueled by a lost memory of his sister's abduction, she is a scientist and prefers to look for rational, logical explanations. Their first case takes them to Oregon to investigate the unsolved murders of several High School classmates who “Spooky” Mulder believes have been experimented on by aliens.
  • 2. Deep Throat
    Mulder and Scully head to Ellens Air Force Base to investigate the mysterious case of a military test pilot who disappeared after experiencing strange psychotic behavior. While on the case, Mulder meets a mysterious man dubbed “Deep Throat” who claims to have classified information about his investigations into the paranormal.
  • 3. Squeeze
    One of Scully's friends from the FBI academy, now working in the Violent Crimes Unit, asks her to assist him on a homicide investigation involving no clear point of entry. Mulder realizes that this is similar to a series of X-Files cases that have occurred every thirty years and joins in the investigation to stop the latest cycle.
  • 4. Conduit
    As Section Chief Blevins expresses his concern with the direction of the X-Files, Mulder becomes obsessed with solving a case that closely parallels an encounter he experienced as a child - the abduction of his kid sister, Samantha.
  • 5. The Jersey Devil
    The murder of a homeless man that is very similar in detail to a murder committed in 1947 leads Mulder and Scully to a legendary man-beast roaming in the forest near Atlantic City.
  • 6. Shadows
    When an unseen force commits several murders where a young woman is present, Mulder suspects that it is the spirit of the woman's former boss protecting her, while Scully believes the boss merely faked his own death.
  • 7. Ghost in the Machine
    A computer with highly advanced Artificial Intelligence begins to kill in order to preserve its existence when it is deemed inefficient to continue controlling the workings of an office building.
  • 8. Ice
    When members of an Arctic research team mysteriously kill each other and themselves only days after drilling deeper into the ice than ever before, Mulder and Scully accompany a team of doctors and scientists to investigate. They discover an organism that infects living creatures and accelerates the hosts' feelings of anger and paranoia, and the agents' colleagues on the expedition begin to question their government knowledge.
  • 9. Space
    A mysterious force is sabotaging a space launch program, which leads directly back to the commander of the team who once led a mission to Mars and claimed to have seen an alien in space.
  • 10. Fallen Angel
    Mulder puts the future of the X-Files in jeopardy when he heads to a UFO crash site being rapidly covered up by the military. He is arrested, and while in jail he meets Max Fenig, a UFO nut whose NICAP group has followed Mulder's work on the X-Files. When Mulder is released, Scully urges him to return to Washington to face his superiors and try to save his job, but Mulder finds out that Max is more than meets the eye and ignores Scully to try and save him instead.
  • 11. Eve
    When two fathers on opposite sides of the country are inexplicably murdered at the exact same time in the exact same way, Mulder and Scully are called in to investigate. When they discover that the two fathers' eight-year-old daughters are identical twins, they realize that something even stranger is going on.
  • 12. Fire
    An old Oxford girlfriend of Mulder's asks for his help on an international case concerning the unexplainable execution of several British dignitaries, and they encounter an assassin who can produce fire from his bare hands.
  • 13. Beyond the Sea
    When death row inmate Luther Lee Boggs claims to be psychic and can lead Mulder to a serial killer in return for a lesser sentence of life in prison, Scully becomes an unwilling believer when Boggs tells her that she can communicate through him with her recently deceased father.
  • 14. Genderbender
    A series of sexually-oriented murders, which are identical except that the killer appears to be both male and female, draws Scully and Mulder to an Amish-type community of people called the Kindred.
  • 15. Lazarus
    When FBI Agent Jack Willis and bank robber Warren Dupre are both shot at the same time during a robbery attempt, Dupre dies when Willis is brought back to life. When Willis rushes out of the hospital and begins acting strangely, Mulder concludes that Dupre has come back to life in Willis' body.
  • 16. Young at Heart
    Mulder becomes the target of someone from his past named John Barnett. He was a jewelry store robber with an itchy trigger finger that Mulder sent to prison when he first joined the Bureau. The only problem is that Barnett died four years ago.
  • 17. E.B.E.
    Mulder and Scully receive information from Deep Throat about a UFO that was shot down over Iraq and has been secretly transported to the US. However, Deep Throat then intentionally misleads the agents to prevent them from discovering the truth.
  • 18. Miracle Man
    A young man who has the power to heal people with his touch begins to question his gift when people start dying after he has supposedly healed them.
  • 19. Shapes
    Mulder and Scully travel to a Native American reservation to investigate the death of a man who was mistaken for a wild animal and may have been the legendary Manitou, a man who can shape-shift into a beast.
  • 20. Darkness Falls
    When a group of loggers in the Washington State National Forest disappear in the same way that another group disappeared 50 years ago, Mulder and Scully go along to investigate and find themselves trapped in a cabin surrounded by flesh eating insects that only attack at night.
  • 21. Tooms
    Eugene Tooms is released from the sanitarium, and Mulder becomes personally involved to ensure that he is caught in the act of getting the last human liver he needs to go into hibernation for another 30 years.
  • 22. Born Again
    After a detective and his former partner die in unexplained circumstances, the accidents are linked to a little girl who witnessed both deaths. Mulder believes that she may be the reincarnation of a policeman murdered by his colleagues.
  • 23. Roland
    Mulder and Scully investigate the death of a scientist working on advanced propulsion technology. The mentally challenged janitor Roland, who has secretly been completely the scientist's work, is the prime suspect.
  • 24. The Erlenmeyer Flask
    When Deep Throat points out a news story about a fugitive who apparently drowned, Mulder and Scully cannot see what makes the case special but follow it up anyway. With Deep Throat's insistence, they discover evidence of a secret government project code-named Purity Control, which uses human test subjects and infects them with extraterrestrial DNA. However, the evidence and everyone who has seen it is quickly being eliminated.
  • 1. Little Green Men
    With his main informant dead and the X Files shut down, Mulder finds himself reassigned to regular FBI duties. He is convinced he's being followed and his conversations listened in on. Mulder soon vanishes and heads to Puerto Rico where the giant radio communications dish at Arecibo was recently shut down. There he finds evidence and has a close encounter but Scully has tracked him down and they manage to escape just as the military arrives.
  • 2. The Host
    With the X Files still shut down, Mulder is re-assigned from wiretap monitoring to a murder investigation. He finds himself in the sewers of New Jersey and assumes that Assistant Director Skinner is again trying to get him out of the way. Scully offers to perform an autopsy on he dead man and finds a rather large fluke worm attached to the his liver. As the investigation continues, Mulder discovers a human-like creature in the sewer system and Sculley believes it is trying to reproduce by finding human hosts. Mulder is also receiving cryptic phone calls from someone …
  • 3. Blood
    FBI agent Fox Mulder is called in by a small-town sheriff to investigate a raft of inexplicable killings. The acts are random and committed by well-respected members of the community. Scully performs an autopsy, and Mulder turns to the Lone Gunmen with her findings. He concludes that the local municipality is using a banned pesticide that could lead to psychoses. Having found an electronic device smashed at every killing, he begins to suspect someone of making subliminal suggestions.
  • 4. Sleepless
    Mulder is partnered with a young FBI agent, Alex Krycek, in the investigation of mysterious deaths. An apartment dweller called emergency services to report a fire outside his door but firemen arrive to find no fire and the owner dead with a spent fire extinguisher nearby. Scully's autopsy finds that the dead man's internal physical condition resembles that of someone who has been in intense heat, even though there are no visible burn marks. A second death gives them a connection between both men as they had served together in the Marines in the early 1970s. They …
  • 5. Duane Barry
    Mulder is called in to act as a hostage negotiator when a mentally unbalanced convict, Duane Barry, takes four people prisoner. Dwayne believes he's a alien abductee and he believes aliens are coming back to get him. He's also a former FBI agent. Mulder contacts Scully and she does a bit of research for him. What she finds calls into question everything Duane has said. By this time however, Mulder has become a hostage in exchange for one who has been been seriously wounded. When it's all over and Duane is back in the hospital, they discover strange pieces of metal in …
  • 6. Ascension
    Mulder sets out with agent Alex Krycek to find Scully, who has been kidnapped by Duane Barry. He's getting very little support from his superiors, including Assistant Director Skinner who wants him out of the case. Mulder believes Barry has kidnapped Scully to offer her to his alien abductees in the hope they will leave him alone. Mulder thinks he knows exactly where he is going but it soon becomes obvious that there are some who will go to great lengths to stop him. Skinner for his part makes a fateful decision.

    Whilst Agent Scully is still missing, Agent Mulder embarks upon an investigation involving vampires in Los Angeles, subsequently becoming involved with a sultry female vampire who yearns to escape her lifestyle.
  • 8. One Breath
    Everyone, including Mulder and Scully's mother, had pretty well given Scully up for dead when she suddenly reappears at a Washington hospital. Details are scanty - the hospital can't really say how she got there - but she is comatose and on a ventilator. With the help of the Lone Gunmen, Mulder learns that her DNA has been altered and that her immune system has shut down. The mysterious Mr. X fails to make contact with him and Mulder hen goes after the Cigarette Smoking Man, ready to do whatever is necessary to save his friend and partner.
  • 9. Firewalker
    Mulder and Scully investigate strange occurrences at a volcano site where at least one scientist has died. A robotic video showed the scientist lying dead at the bottom of a crater where temperatures have reached 130 degrees Fahrenheit. They can then see a shadow cross the body. Once on the site, they find terrified survivors and what Mulder believes is an unknown silicon-based organism, the first of its kind. With different members of the team seemingly infected, Scully and Mulder quarantine the entire group until they know exactly what they are dealing with.
  • 10. Red Museum
    Agents Mulder and Scully investigate when a religious cult is accused of kidnapping, branding their victims with the words ‘He is One’, or ‘She is One’.
  • 11. Excelsis Dei
    Mulder and Scully investigate the case of a woman, a nurse in an elder care facility, who claims she was raped at the facility by an invisible spirit. Nurse Michelle Charters has the bruises to prove the attack but not surprisingly, no one will take her seriously given the nature of her claim. The elder care home is primarily for Alzheimer's patients and the doctor there is experimenting with a known drug, one that has not been very successful in the past. He is getting positive results however, even if he can't quite explain them. Incidents continue to occur making …
  • 12. Aubrey
    Mulder and Scully are called in by a local field office when the body of a long dead FBI agent is found by a local police detective in Aubrey, Missouri. The dead FBI agent died in 1942 but the detective who found the body, Inspector B.J. Morrow, can't quite explain why she was digging in the location where it was found. The local police also have a strange murder in their hands: a young woman who had the ‘sister’ carved on her chest. When Morrow's boss, Lt. Brian Tilman, first sees the crime photos he thinks the FBI has information on the most recent murder but the …
  • 13. Irresistible
    Mulder and Scully are in Minneapolis on the trail of a serial killer who likes to collect trophies from his victims. The killer is Donald Addie Pfaster, who goes by Donnie. He likes young women, especially blonds and he keeps a lock of their hair or their finger nails as trophies. He's also taken to digging up graves to add to his collection. Scully is having a very hard time dealing with the facts of the case and isn't functioning very well. She has a lot more on her plate however when Donnie sees her and decides to make her his next victim.
  • 14. Die Hand die verletzt
    Scully and Mulder are called in by a local New Hampshire Sheriff when there is evidence of a satanic cult operating in his town. One teen has already died and paranoia has now gripped everyone there. There is little doubt that a group of teenagers did go off into the woods to perform some type of ceremony but Scully in particular scoffs at any suggestion they were anything more than kids acting out. As the investigation progresses however it becomes apparent that some of the staff are involved in devil worship but the danger it turns out lies outside the group.
  • 15. Fresh Bones
    Scully and Mulder investigate the death of a soldier working at a Haitian refugee camp. He drove his car into a tree and his death has been ruled a suicide but the man's wife simply doesn't believe he would have done that. Their investigation unearths rumors that the camp commander, Colonel Wharton, may be systematically abusing some of the detainees. There are also rumors of voodoo and curses but neither agent is prepared when someone completely unexpected suddenly appears. They get help from a young lad in the camp, Chester Bonaparte, but there are secrets in the …
  • 16. Colony
    Mulder and Scully decide to investigate when they anonymously receive three newspaper obituaries for three men who appear to be identical. All of them worked in abortion clinics and they were not brothers. Unbeknown to them, an alien craft immobilized a US submarine patrolling under the Arctic ice and there is now an alien bounty hunter on the loose committing the murders. Mulder's world is turned upside down however when he receives an urgent call from his father telling him to come home. Once there, he finds a young woman in the living room talking to his mother. …
  • 17. End Game
    Samantha tells her brother about the shape-shifting Alien Bounty Hunter and why he is out to kill all of them. With Scully taken prisoner by the Alien Bounty Hunter, Mulder arranges to swap his sister for her. Snipers are in the woods to take out the alien creature but it does not go well. The swap takes place on a bridge and while Scully is safe, Samantha and the bounty hunter fall into the waters below. Mulder's father gives him an envelope Samantha had left for him and as a result he goes to a women's health clinic in Maryland. There he gets a greater understanding…
  • 18. Fearful Symmetry
    Mulder and Scully investigate strange occurrences when an invisible forces seems to wreck the downtown of Fairfield, Idaho and an elephant from the local zoo is found lying on the highway some 40 miles away. No one at the zoo can figure out how the elephant got out of its locked enclosure and animal rights activists have been active in condemning the way the zoo treats its animals. It's not the first time animals have escaped or disappeared from the Fairfield Zoo but when an animal activist is mauled by an invisible tiger, they're dealing with something no one has …

    When some people on a ship are rescued, it is discovered that they are aging and later, dying. Mulder takes it upon himself to investigate the ship, which he believes has been the target of Philadelphia Experiments.
  • 20. Humbug
    Mulder and Scully find themselves delving into the world of freaks and circus sideshows when Jerald Glazebrook, otherwise known as the Alligator Man, is killed in his swimming pool. Mulder determines that this attack is identical to 48 others that have taken place over 28 years across the US, the last five of which have taken place in Florida. They soon find themselves in a Florida community where circus performers reside. They learn about the Fiji Mermaid, a half-ape, half-fish creature that never existed. Mulder however can't help but wonder. The murders continue …
  • 21. The Calusari
    A two-year-old boy in a Virginia park is mysteriously killed, and a further look shows a ghostly figure luring him. Mulder and Scully investigate despite an existing official inquiry, and learn that the boy's brother is in great danger as well - for evil follows evil.
  • 22. F. Emasculata
    When a package with infected contents releases the virus on its inmate recipient, a dozen prisoners contract it and Mulder and Scully are mysteriously called in to help. What they find demands that the truth be told to the public, but that's the one thing they cannot do.
  • 23. Soft Light
    Three deaths have occurred around Richmond, Virginia. The only traces which each of the victims seem to have left behind are black scorch marks of unknown origin. Mulder and Scully are called in by an old student of hers, and the search for the truth begins in its shadows.
  • 24. Our Town
    Reports of foxfire on a field in Dudley, Arkansas lead Mulder and Scully to a bizarre situation regarding the townsfolk. Employees of the Chaco Chicken Corporation are displaying bizarre behavior, and the death rate is slowly increasing.
  • 25. Anasazi
    A man known as “The Thinker” has hacked into the U.S. Department of Defense mainframe and uncovered 50-years-worth of proof that the Gov't has been dealing with aliens. Mulder and Scully race against time to distinguish truth from lies, uncover the secrets, and survive them.
  • 1. The Blessing Way
    A furious pursuit of Agent Mulder is underway, and more importantly, the government wants the data tape he carried. Agent Scully, against all odds, searches to uncover his whereabouts, persisting that he is alive when all others deny it.

    Mulder returns to Skinner and Scully while the deadly pursuit is still at hand. Led by an old photograph of his father and a group of scientists, he and Scully discover more than they could imagine in an old West Virginia warehouse. The truth, of course, may kill everyone.

  • 4. Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose
    Scully and Mulder are called into the investigation of a series of murders where the victims were all psychics of some sort. A tea leaf reader, tarot card reader and palm reader are all the apparent victims of a serial killer. The local police have brought in a well-known TV psychic that Mulder finds laughable. He does come across Clyde Bruckman, an insurance salesman who may be ca genuine psychic. While Scully is appropriately skeptical, Mulder realizes that Bruckman can only see one thing - how people will die.

    After death row prisoner Napoleon “Neech” Manley is executed in Florida's electric chair, a number of prison guards are the victims of gruesome murders. Scully and Mulder are called into the case and there are rumors in the prison that there is a death list with five names on it. They learn from Manley's widow Danielle that he had promised to return from the grave and exact revenge but they look for for a less supernatural explanation for the events. They think they've found when they learn that Danielle has been living with one of the guards, Vincent Parmelly. For …

    Scully and Mulder go to Cleveland to assist the local police in the investigation of a bizarre death. They've found the remains of a woman in her car but the body is in an advanced state of deterioration, even though she's only been missing for a short while. By the time Scully gets to the autopsy, there is no flesh left on the skeleton. Mulder sees similarities in this death and a series of deaths in another State where all of the victims had responded to a lonely hearts personals in their local newspaper. They now think the killer has moved on to Internet chat rooms…
  • 7. The Walk
    Scully and Mulder investigate a series of accidents at a VA hospital in Virginia. Lt. Col. Victor Stans has tried several times to kill himself, but has always survived claiming, “He won't let me die.” He says that he sees the shadow-like outline of a soldier who is mentally and physically torturing him. As they look into the case they learn that Stans' family died in a house fire some 6 months before. More revealing is the fact that other soldiers' families have also died in similar fires.     Scully and Mulder investigate the kidnapping of 15 year-old Amy Jacobs who was snatched from her bedroom in the middle of the night. Mulder is intrigued by the fact that at the same time Amy was being abducted, Lucy Householder collapsed in the fast food restaurant where she worked. Both of them had nosebleeds and the police subsequently learn that Lucy was also a kidnap victim having escaped from her kidnapper some 15 years before after having been kept in a dark room for 5 years.     After Mulder buys an alien autopsy video from a mail order house in Allentown, Pa. he thinks he may be onto the real thing. He goes to Allentown with a skeptical Scully to find that the man who distributed the videos has been murdered. They arrest a trespasser in the house only to learn from Assistant Director Skinner that the man is a senior Japanese diplomat. The papers he was carrying however point to the use of rail cars as rolling laboratories as well as the recovery of what was supposed to be a Japanese submarine. Scully meanwhile meets a group of women with …

    Now aboard the mysterious train, Mulder locates the car containing the scientific equipment and what appears to be the autopsy room he saw in the video he purchased. There is also an assassin on board who claims to work for the NSA. When they are locked in, he reveals that there is a bomb aboard which is set to go off and destroy any evidence on the train. Scully meanwhile traces her implant to a medical research facility in West Virginia which she feels provides a logical explanation for what has been happening - rogue medical research by a Japanese scientist working…

    Scully and Mulder investigate the murder of a popular evangelist who claimed, falsely as it turns out, to bear the wounds Christ bore from the cross - stigmata. Mulder is aware that there have been other similar murders but when they are called to a nearby school, they meet Kevin Kryder, a 12 year-old who seems to genuinely show the signs of stigmata. The boy's father is in prison for child abuse and Mulder is skeptical about it all. Scully however struggles with her own religious views and comes to believe that the boy may be genuine. She also comes to believe that …
  • 12. War of the Coprophages
    Agent Mulder is out investigating reports of strange lights in the night sky when he learns from the local Sheriff that there is another death in town from killer cockroaches. Intrigued, Mulder tags along and a series of deaths ensue with witnesses all claiming the dead body was covered with roaches, though none are too be found by the police arrive. When he learns that there is a local experiment going on, Mulder meets the entomologist involved, the rather attractive Bambi Berenbaum. The answer however, lies with other tests going in town.   • 13. Syzygy
    Scully and Mulder investigate a series deaths all involving boys from the same high school. The town is in a uproar and rumors of a satanic cult being responsible abound. Everyone in town seems to be acting out of character, including the two FBI agents. Scully has become an exaggerated caricature of her skeptical self while Mulder is even more aloof, taking to mocking her at every turn. Mulder's visit to a local astrologer however reveals an unusual planetary alignment that results in a cosmic forces being centered on two high school girls.
  • 14. Grotesque
    After a serial killer, who claims to have killed people under the influence of a demon, is arrested, the murders continue. Meanwhile Mulder, who believes that the demon might have picked someone new, goes neck-deep in the investigation.
  • 15. Piper Maru
    Scully and Mulder investigate the case of the crew of a French salvage ship who are all, with one exception, suffering from severe radiation burns. Mulder is particularly interested in the case as the ship was working at the coordinates he believes is the site of a UFO crash. Evidence at the home of the one salvager who escaped the radiation burns leads Mulder to Hong Kong where he meets Krycek, who he believes killed his father. It's also obvious that the entity, black oil, is transferring itself from one person to another. Meanwhile, Scully is upset to learn that …
  • 16. Apocrypha
    With Assistant Director Skinner in the hospital recovering from his gunshot wounds, Scully and Mulder pursue various leads. Scully meets with with a retired naval officer, a friend of her father and learns that this is not the first time men have suffered severe radiation burns while investigating that part of the ocean. She fears for Skinner's life when she learns he is being transferred to another hospital. Mulder meanwhile learns the location of the UFO, an abandoned missile site but the Cigarette Smoking Man proves to be a major obstacle. While Mulder pursues his …

    A seemingly unmotivated murderer, who can apparently talk his victims into killing themselves is on the loose and it is up to Mulder and Scully to study the clues left to them by the person and capture him.
  • 18. Teso dos Bichos
    At a South American dig, archaeologists unearth the grave of an ancient shaman. Transported to the Boston Museum of Natural History against the wishes of the locals, strange occurrences bring Scully and Mulder onto the case of a murdered anthropologist, seemingly killed by a large cat. Central to the case is Dr. Bilac who seems to have some connection to what is happening. As the FBI agents continue their investigation - a profusion of rats in the museum is only one of the things they have to put up with - the State department in Washington is considering whether to …
  • 19. Hell Money
    Scully and Mulder investigate the murder of someone who was burned alive in a funeral parlor crematorium. The autopsy reveals that he was missing several vital organs - an eye, a kidney - and Scully immediately suspects that the man was selling his organs, any of which would fetch a very high price. Working with a local Chinese-speaking detective, Glen Chao, Mulder gets a lead when they find pieces of hell money, fake currency that is used as a symbolic offering. It all leads them to a deadly game among newly arrived immigrants in need of real money.
  • 20. Jose Chung's 'From Outer Space'
    Well known author Jose Chung is writing a book about the claimed alien abduction of a young couple that was subsequently investigated by agents Mulder and Scully. With Mulder unavailable, Scully provides most of the information on the case. Chrissy and Harold were out on a date when their car suddenly lost all power in the middle of nowhere. From that point on however, their stories and that of the others involved in the investigation begin to vary considerably. It all equally leads to several possible conclusions.

    With his marriage on the rocks and on the verge of getting a divorce, a depressed Assistant Director Skinner meets an attractive blond, Carina Sayles, in a hotel bar and they decide to get a room and spend the night together. When he awakens in the morning however, Carina is laying beside him dead from a broken neck. Scully and Mulder investigate on their own as Skinner would prefer they just mind their own business. When they learn that their boss has been having nightmares of sorts, Mulder believes he is being visited by a succubus, an old woman of legend who takes …
  • 22. Quagmire
    Scully and Mulder head off to Georgia when there are reports of people disappearing around a local lake. Scully isn't sure why they're getting involved until she sees a highway sign advertising their own version of the Loch Ness monster called Big Blue. The latest victim is a park ranger, giving the FBI jurisdiction, but Scully thinks it's all nonsense. The killings continue and Mulder thinks there something very real out there. Scully comes around when she is affected by the ‘monster’ in a very personal way.

    Scully and Mulder investigate a series of bizarre murders committed by a man who says he saw the killer on TV. They conclude that several people in the community are affected somehow and Mulder believes that the TV signals are being altered in some way.     With Scully in a hospital ICU, the FBI hierarchy learns that Mulder is alive. So do the conspirators but the Cigarette Smoking Man continues to argue that Mulder is worth far more to them alive than dead. He points Mulder in the direction of a cure for Scully's cancer but apparently pays a heavy price for doing so. He tells Mulder that the alien conspiracy is real and offers to prove it to him. His proof however doesn't quite satisfy Mulder who appears before the FBI review committee to reveal the identity of the conspirator inside the FBI.
  • 3. Unusual Suspects
    The origins of the Lone Gunmen and their relationship with Mulder are revealed in this episode. All three were at a computer and electronics trade show in Baltimore in 1989 when they put their antagonism to one another aside to help a woman, Susann Modeski, who claims her boyfriend kidnapped her daughter. In fact, she's a government scientist on the run from security officers. She tells them about a massive government conspiracy and they inform their new found friend Mulder, who finds it all a bit far-fetched.
  • 4. Detour
    While driving down to Florida with two other FBI agents to attend a team-building seminar, Scully and Mulder are drawn into the disappearance of several men in a wooded area. Rumors are soon circulating in the nearby town that there are monsters in the woods. Mulder soon believes there is definitely something in the woods causing these deaths and nature itself may be seeking revenge in the form of invisible creatures. He and Scully go off into the woods and encounter the creatures firsthand.
  • 5. The Post-Modern Prometheus
    Mulder and Scully travel to a small town after Mulder receives a letter asking for his help in solving a mystery. The townsfolk believe there is a Frankenstein-type monster living in the woods and many claim to have seen him. One of the locals has even created a comic book on the creature, which he's called the Great Mutato.     Mulder and Scully assist local police when they suspect woman they arrested at a murder scene, Marty Glenn, is the murderer. The problem is that the woman is blind. Mulder finds it all very unlikely That a woman who has been blind from birth could actually commit the crime in question. Matty knows a great deal about the crime scene and can describe much of it in detail however. Testing confirms her blindness but Mulder begins to think that she is “seeing” things in a far different way than a normal human being can.
  • 17. All Souls
    In the confessional at her local church, Scully tels a priest that she is responsible for the death of young girl. In flashbacks, Scully and Mulder are called in when a young woman is found dead in the street not far from her home. No one has any idea how she got there as she was severely handicapped and was not mobile. Scully's parish priest asks her to look into the case as the girl's parents are also members of the parish. As the case progresses, Scully will come to face evil and must also come to terms with loss of her own daughter.

    Scully is worried about Mulder when during an undercover sting operation, Mulder apparently lets a suspect, Jacob Steven Haley, escape. Haley is a right-wing anti-government militiaman who was observed in a park handing an envelope to someone who the FBI thinks was selling weapons. After Haley's escape, they find the other man dead with most of his flesh eaten away. Concerned that militiamen are in possession of biological weapons, FBI assistant Director Skinner takes Scully into his confidence and tells what is really going on.

    Mulder and Scully are sent to Chicago after after a telemarketing firm receives anonymous threats. The company is particularly concerned as they had an employee go postal in a different office and wants to avoid another dangerous incident. One of the company's employees, Gary Lambert, is convinced that his boss Greg Pincus is literally a monster who no one else can see for what he really is. Lambert takes everyone, including Mulder, hostage but during the incident Mulder realizes that Lambert may not be the deranged madman everyone is making him out to be.

    Agent Scully gets paired up with a new partner to investigate a singular case. Alfred Fellig, a freelance crime photographer, has a knack for arriving at crime scenes shortly after the murder and long before the police arrive. Local authorities suspect Fellig may be killing the victims himself before photographing them.

    After being gone for almost a year following her abduction, Cassandra Spender reappears, in perfect physical condition as the first successful alien/human hybrid. Inspired by her, Padgett writes his magnum opus: a story of secret love and serial murder, featuring Scully and Padgett as main characters. However, the murders in his story begin occurring exactly as written. As he struggles to finish his novel, Padgett realizes that only Scully's death can produce the perfect ending.

    A young married couple's skeletons are found together on a field in the mountains after only being reported missing for three days. The area where their skeletons were found is known for UFO activity, so Mulder and Scully go there to investigate it. Mulder finds the couple alive and all signs point to an alien abduction. But everything is not as it seems.

    An artifact with strange engravings on it is found off of the coast of Africa. When a rubbing of these engravings is shown to Mulder, confusing noises happen inside his head.
