The storyline of this TV series is centered around a talented forensic anthropologist Temperance “Bones” Brennan who works with FBI special agent Seeley Booth and investigates the cases in which only bones or rotten flesh are left as clues.

    A body flies out of an exploding meth lab. As the team tries to identify the body, Booth works on a big case which could boost his career, but he's distracted when his brother shows up and shows some interest in Bones.

    Bones and Booth fly to China so Brennan can identify some remains. During the flight, a body is discovered inside an oven. Bones and Booth must solve the crime before the flight lands in China.

    Brennan and Booth investigate the remains of a bodyguard of two children who attend a high security school for the children of important people. Also, Cam hires Brennan's father as a teacher which causes some conflicts for Bones.

    The remains of a set of conjoined twins are found on an oil field. When they find out the twins worked at a Circus, Bones and Booth go undercover to find the culprit.

    The body of a victim is found in a frozen lake. Booth identifies the body as a rival hockey player, making Booth a suspect in the crime. Now the Squints have to work with a new agent to solve the crime.

    The Gravedigger returns and captures Booth. He wants the evidence that someone has stolen from the case, and he believes that Bones has it. Can the Squints find their friend before Booth becomes the Gravediggers latest casualty?

The squints soon determine the identity of the victim, but discovering the cause of death presents interesting dilemmas as a mysterious corrosive foam secreting from the bones is destroying the remains and causing the Jeffersonian's alarms go off with each test they try. Also, Bones tries to work on her interpersonal skills.

    The remains of a volleyball player are found in a Salt Truck. They discover that she was pregnant, and that several of her friends are also pregnant.

    The murder of a doctor at a Wildlife Reserve gets a little personal for Cam, when the victim turns out to be a former paramour. Angela tries to go celibate to work on her relationship issues.
  • 18. The Science in the Physicist
    The frozen shattered remains of a scientist leads the team to a highly regarded research institute. Angela's father comes to town.
  • 19. The Cinderella in the Cardboard
    The flattened remains of a woman are found in a recycling plant, leading the team to a wedding planner, the woman's fiancee, and the owner of an online dating service. As the Squints work to solve the case, Bones and Booth are at odds when it appears that someone they know is cheating on a friend/colleague.

    Skeletal remains used by a Norwegian Black Metal Band lead the team to explore the underground music scene. Gordon-Gordon prepares to retire from psychology, but not before meeting with Sweets and helping Bones and Booth solve their current case.

    Story of a murder in a nightclub with multiple suspects, with familiar faces in a different perspective. When the story's finished, Booth's health crisis takes an expected twist.

    Bones returns from Guatemala as Booth is finally cleared for duty; Booth is anxious to prove he's fully recovered, even accepting help from Angela's psychic. Things take an interesting turn when the psychic informs them that there is a mass grave underneath a fountain.

    A diamond courier carrying a briefcase is killed. State Department requests discretion while investigating due to National Security concerns. Meanwhile, Wendell loses his scholarship, and Booth tries to relearn plumbing techniques.

    A corpse found roasted in a neighborhood party barbecue pit is identified as missing dentist Kurt Bissette. He had not only upset neighbors with his windmill and by nearly poisoning the gay couple's dog but probably was a blackmailer. Trey Johnson, the owners society's handsome young gardener, isn't the only one enjoying residents' infidelity, which isn't the only possible secret or motive either. Meanwhile young Parker seems worried about Booth's lack of female company. Sweets figures out why Arastoo faked his oriental accent.

    Brennan and Booth are called to investigate what appears to be charred human remains on an electrical fence. The mysterious corpse is later determined to be a mummified Egyptian royal on loan to the Jeffersonian. The anthropological mystery has Brennan in a tizzy, and when the Jeffersonian curator prepping the mummy for exhibition is murdered, the team suspects foul play. Nick's severed thumbs and toes were used at protests elsewhere. His widow, Gaynor, anonymously helped Josh. Meanwhile Booth worries about his character judgment instincts and Angela is emotionally obsessed with ‘saving’ a piglet.

    Booth, still suffering some lingering effects from his brain surgery, has to get re-certified for FBI marksmanship, but is not the accurate shot he was before going under the knife. The victim, Bryce DaFonte, also known as “The Iron Leprechaun,” competed in a popular wrestling league, but the popularity of the franchise left him with many enemies, including bitter competitors and scorned lovers, any of whom could have caused his downfall.

    In Howard Fileman's house, which is for sale, estate agent Katie Selnick and two prospective buyers discover a corpse, charred except for a fat foot. Clever forensics gradually show it was actually two people, a fat man and PricoCo saleswoman Meg Tracy, who recently lost half her excessive weight and met her lover in a fetishist club. Seely however is greatly distracted by a surprise visits from ‘pops’ Hank Booth, who left his retirement home after hitting a male nurse and now tries to ‘correct’ Booth's life, but rather lost control of his own.

    Mailman Steve Rifton's corpse is found in frying fat, hence extremely decayed over two weeks. He was reported missing for three months. The highly intelligent man's passion was the computer game Punky Pong. He recently lost the world record, which was bitterly contested. Both motive and means require several theories based on forensic findings until things start fitting.
